No. This tool reads text that's already embedded in the PDF — the same text you could select and copy in a normal PDF viewer. If your PDF is a scanned image with no real text layer, use our OCR (Extract Text from Images) tool instead — this tool will tell you clearly if no text was found rather than returning an empty file silently.
