Frequently Asked Questions

What numbering formats are available?

Plain numbers (1, 2, 3), "Page X of Y", fractions (1 / 10), lowercase and uppercase roman numerals (i, ii, iii / I, II, III), lowercase and uppercase letters (a, b, c / A, B, C), and a fully custom template using {n} and {total} placeholders — for example "Section 1 – Page {n} of {total}".

Can I control exactly where numbering starts?

Yes, two separate controls: which page the numbering begins on (e.g., skip a cover page), and what number the first numbered page displays (e.g., start on page 3 but show it as "1").

Can I skip specific pages, like a section divider?

Yes — enter page numbers or ranges to skip (e.g. "1,5-7") and those pages will show no number at all, without breaking the sequence for the pages that follow.

Can I see what it will look like before downloading?

Yes — a live preview renders an actual page from your document with your current settings applied, and updates instantly as you change any option. You can also pick which page of your document to preview.

Can I change the font size and color?

Yes, a size slider, a full color picker, and a bold toggle, in addition to 6 position choices (bottom or top, each left/center/right).

Can I number multiple PDFs at once?

Yes, select as many files as you like and they'll all be numbered in one batch using the same settings.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Numbering and the live preview both happen entirely inside your browser.

Is this free?

Yes, completely free with no daily limit.
